What it is

Tooth jewellery, also known as tooth gems, is a small ornament, typically a crystal, a small gemstone, or even a bit of gold or silver, that is stuck on the surface of a sound tooth using a glue. It is entirely reversible and will not involve drilling and destruction of the enamel. The jewel is held in place by a dental adhesive that is the same material utilised in orthodontic brackets. The entire process takes a couple of minutes. The most significant selections are the popular, ironically named Twinkles (gold and natural crystals) or specially formulated dental gems.
